Why we Worship

PSALM 47

Clap your hands, all peoples!
  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
  a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
  and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
  the pride of Jacob whom he loves.

God has gone up with a shout,
  the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
  sing praises with a psalm!

Why Sing?

God reigns over the nations;
  God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather
  as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
  he is highly exalted!

Praise

Declare His Greatness
Imagine seeing the seventh game of a world series, and the home team wins with a walk off homerun. Now imagine not talking about it - to anyone. That would be strange. Our God is great, and we must boast about him, to each other and the world.

Everything God Does Is Good
For the Christian, gender is founded in a creative God who brought glory to Himself by creating both male and female. Men display His glory one way, and women an entirely different way. Let's celebrate the God of variety.

Praising God
History is filled with passionate words of praise from believers to our redeeming God. This script incorporates the value of that praise to enliven our worship today, here and now.

What God Has Done, Is Doing and Will Do
This world has one thing on its mind - the present. Grab all the gusto you can. The worship of God is about eternity, the past, the present, and the future.

Adoring God
Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? Exodus 15:11 "No employment can be a greater honor to a man than to praise God." Jonathan Edwards

A Thankful Heart
The giving of thanks, when pointed Godward, brings a smile to the face of our God. This service utilizes Psalm 107, as a way to stir up our hearts to recall the faithfulness of God.

Streams of Mercy
God's mercy is like Niagra Falls, and it continually washes over us. As gratitude is expressed, our hearts are enlarged and God is glorified.
