Why we Worship

PSALM 47

Clap your hands, all peoples!
  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
  a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
  and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
  the pride of Jacob whom he loves.

God has gone up with a shout,
  the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
  sing praises with a psalm!

Why Sing?

God reigns over the nations;
  God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather
  as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
  he is highly exalted!

THEME: God loves the world so much, He gave His Son to die, so that all mankind might be reconciled to God. Now it is up to us to tell that message. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. Romans 10:15

Lyrics | Description

Jesus was tired, and he was thirsty. He sat down at a well while the disciples went into town to buy food. A conversation began with a woman, and within just a few minutes, she was being confronted with her sin, and her Savior, all at once. She believed,  becoming an evangelist, and many from her town believed.

The disciples, as usual, were clueless. Returning with food, they urged Jesus to eat. He no more had his mind on food right then than his disciples did evangelism.

"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together."

"Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor."
John 4:34-38
