Why we Worship

PSALM 47

Clap your hands, all peoples!
  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
  a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
  and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
  the pride of Jacob whom he loves.

God has gone up with a shout,
  the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
  sing praises with a psalm!

Why Sing?

God reigns over the nations;
  God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather
  as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
  he is highly exalted!

Lyrics | Description

VERSE 1
Comfort, comfort
Speak tender words of comfort to Jerusalem
Comfort, comfort
Let her know the time of trial is over
THE BEST IS YET TO COME
In the desert prepare a highway for our God
Make every mountain, every hill made low
The crooked places plain

CHORUS
And the glory of the Lord will be revealed
What's been hidden will no longer be concealed
The half has cannot be told
What in truth we'll then behold
THE GLORY OF THE LORD

VERSE 2
Cry out, cry out
Lord who am I to cry out, choked by fears and doubts
Cry out, cry out
Like flowers of the field our glory rises
Then quickly fades away
Still the promise endures, your true and faithful word
From every mountaintop we'll shout it out
Till all the world has heard

BRIDGE
Spread the news, lift up your voice and shout
HERE IS YOUR GOD! THE ONE TRUE GOD!
Spread the news, lift up your voice and shout
HERE IS YOUR GOD! THE ONE TRUE GOD!
