The subject of how much God knows ahead of time has become a point of debate in recent years, in part to help explain the problem of evil. But Jesus wasn't about to limit God's knowledge.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Matthew 10:29-30
